While senior citizens would greatly benefit from the use of mobile and online services, seniors are not naturally drawn to the interfaces that developers currently design and many valuable services are therefore unused. Gofur Digital seeks to create an interface to enable this demographic to access online services easily. By providing an integrated and simplified hardware and software hub designed for senior citizens, Gofur Digital both increases the ability of seniors to purchase relevant products and exposes this segment to conveniences that they would not otherwise access.

We will leverage three core competencies to revolutionize the retail industry – senior-centric design, an intuitive understanding of consumer technology, and effective use of partnerships. Our design centers on the practical and psychological needs of senior citizens, e.g., mobility and freedom, simplicity, and human interaction. Our understanding of technology comes from our collective passion for and experience in consumer technology and e-commerce. Furthermore, we have already established partnerships with potential service providers and customers, and we will continue to pursue opportunities within and beyond our professional networks.

Gofur Digital’s approach is uniquely integrated compared to previous offerings. While some companies either seek to provide devices (e.g., Jitterbug, Amulyte) or services (e.g., Care.com, assisted living communities) for seniors, Gofur Digital is the first to create a front-to-end user experience. Additionally, while we initially plan to focus on providing conveniences such as meal deliveries and car services, there is unlimited potential for our product to further coordinate social and medical interactions.
